Whale sighting

While jiiging for Cod in about eighty feet of water a few pilot whales appeared about 1000 yards portside. Timing was good since this was the first trip of 2005 in the new boat (2002 Trophy Pro 2302). I’ve sen lots of pilot whales in the MA bay but not this close. These whales were inside of 3 miles. They got to within 100yards of the boat circled us and then continued on down the Duxbury coast line. The kids were pretty excited about the sighting. Not very long after they went swimming off the back of the boat in about 125ft of water (only 54degrees!). Pretty brave for a 8 and 10 year old girls!
