October - Fishing the Northeast
The title doesn’t fit the post. The reason is the weather has been so foul here there hasn’t been any real fishing in this area. We had 10 straight days of rain with very rough ocean conditions to start this month followed by about 3 days of spotty sun with 35-50 mph wind gusts and now we are back into the rain. Every day it gets colder around here and I am almost ready to concede this season. The boat is still in the water but it hasn’t seen much action. I am going to give it another week. If I am unable to find a day where I can get out there then it is officially over. Hurricane Wilma should be approaching Florida by Monday and we will start to see here effects hear by Thursday or so. This is likely the end. Once the boat is out of the water I will have some work to do to get it ready for the winter. I am hoping to get one more day on the water even if it isn’t a fishing trip.
Has anyone seen the sun?
