Fresh NE Lobster
There is nothing like Fresh NE Lobster. The new lobster traps are ready to go. I’ll try not to loose them all again this year…
I dropped 6 lobster traps in for the first time this season a few days ago. Each trap was baited with a cod head, a few sea robins, mackerel, or chunked dogfish in 50 ft of water off of Brant Rock Marshfield MA. I usually let them sit for at least 2 days before I pull them up. Friday after work was the third day and I was not going to be deterred by the fog, wind or looming rain. Instead I decided to take the high road (glass is half full) and I went out around 5pm. I wanted to check the traps that were already in the water and drop two more. I pulled all six lobster traps and got four nice keepers (two that were 2.5 lbs) and I threw back 5 shorties. Each trap was still loaded with bait so I put them back down in the same area and dropped the last two traps in the same line.

There is nothing like fresh New England Lobster straight from the trap right to the dinner table. Life is good.
