| Baitfish - Peanut Bunker |
|
The great fishing continues here in Marshfield. Yesterday we were on the water for a few hours early in the day and the baitfish, specifically peanut bunker, were everywhere. The birds were working all along the coast as well as miles out into the ocean. The first half mile off the shore was loaded with striped bass feasting on peanut bunker. Beyond the half mile mark the bluefish were also filling up on peanut bunker. The photo included in this post is a peanut bunker. Live peanut bunker is great bait but if your not lucky enough to have a live stock you will want to choose something from your tackle box that resembles these little fella’s. October has been the best month for saltwater fishing along the coast of Marshfield MA.
