Rough Waters Massachusetts Bay

We have a significant E to NE wind and high seas all along the Marshfield coastline and beyond today. Wind gusts up to 35kts. and waves 6 to 8ft and with occasional sets in the 12ft range. Emergency crews were working on the Brant Rock sea wall backfilling what looked to be an undermined section.

Did you know lobsters can regenerate legs, claws, and antennae?  In fact they can and often do amputate their own claws and legs to escape danger.

Atlantic Sunfish Sighting

Ever seen a 200 pound Sun fish? No I am not talking about the kind you might find in fresh water. I am talking about the rare Atlantic Sunfish (Scientific Name: Mola mola).

We were lucky enough to run into this Atlantic Sunfish 2 miles off the coast of Marshfield.
