To find a keeper cod in and around the south coast you need to find deep water. The size limit jumped from 22 inches up to 24 inches. If you choose to jig for cod in anything less than 100 feet you can expect to land a bunch of shorties. Deep water jigging is difficult if the current is strong

The waters in and around the Massachusetts Bay are full of mackerel. Jigging for cod you’ll catch mackerel. Trolling for bass you’ll catch mackerel. It would be hard not to catch a few mackerel no matter what you’re fishing for.

There is nothing like Fresh NE Lobster. The new lobster traps are ready to go. I’ll try not to loose them all again this year…
